About Solo Disco PRESS
Solo Disco PRESS was formed in 2021 by Jennifer and Lucas Wetzel as a print extension of their decade-long lit site, Kawsmouth.com.
Beginning with the publishers’ own creative projects, SDP has since lined up several new book releases for 2022 including essays, poetry, inspiration, and experimentation from authors and artists in Kansas City.
Run by two media professionals with combined three decades of media, design, and publishing experience, SDP advises on all stages of the publishing process, including idea and concept, editing and design, printing and distribution.
SDP also serves as a test kitchen for literary experiments and artistic expression, featuring vivid and original perspectives from the Midwest and beyond. We hope to make beautiful books with a design and feel that matches each author's personality and creative vision.

Kawsmouth is an online platform for writers, photographers and visual artists of all styles and backgrounds. Named after the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri rivers, Kawsmouth offers an introspective look at our region’s past and a creative re-imagination of its future.
